Alexander G. Mende

Biography

Alexander G. Mende is an associate based in our Columbia office, focusing on representing clients in construction defect, insurance and products liability matters.

Before joining GWB, Alex gained invaluable experience serving as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable J. Mark Hayes, II, of the South Carolina Circuit Court, Seventh Judicial Circuit. His law school career was marked by active leadership and involvement; he served as President of the Student Bar Association, was a student member of the prestigious John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court and contributed to the 2020 Dean Search Committee.

A native of Myrtle Beach, SC, Alex is passionate about the outdoors. He spends his free time golfing, traveling, hiking, and running. Certified in scuba diving, surfing instruction, and as a lifeguard, Alex is well-versed in water activities. In 2017, he achieved the remarkable feat of summiting Mount Kilimanjaro.
