Biography
Caitlin Turner is a litigation attorney practicing in the firm’s Charleston, South Carolina office. Her practice includes all aspects of civil litigation at both the state and federal level. Caitlin has handled matters dealing with insurance coverage, medical malpractice, premises liability, commercial litigation and general negligence.
Caitlin received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where she received the Access and Inclusion Award, and was a producer for Virginia Tech TV. Caitlin earned her juris doctor from Charleston School of Law.
During law school, Caitlin gained legal experience through clerkships in private practice, volunteering for non-profit organizations, such as South Carolina for Criminal Justice Reform, and participating in Charleston Pro Bono’s Housing Clinic. Prior to law school, Caitlin worked as a paralegal in a small boutique law firm focused on family law, education law, elder law, mental health law, estate planning, and minor misdemeanors. Caitlin also participated in the South Carolina Judicial Observation Experience with the Honorable Judge Michael S. Holt.
Caitlin prides herself in being an advocate for the under-represented. She was recognized with the William Bennett Regan Award for Outstanding Public Service and gave 250+ pro bono hours while maintaining the rigorous schedule of law school.
Caitlin is thorough, hard-working, and dedicated to reaching the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Aside from practicing law, Caitlin enjoys spending quality time on adventures with her standard schnauzer and rescue dog. She enjoys kayaking around the low country, spending time in nature and birdwatching. She is also an avid wine collector.
