Evan A. Carter

Biography

Evan A. Carter is an Associate in the firm’s Charleston, South Carolina, office. His practice areas include all aspects of civil litigation at both the state and federal levels. Evan has experience handling matters involving insurance coverage, construction and design defects, premises liability, commercial litigation, and general negligence.

After earning both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Western Kentucky University, Evan worked in both collegiate and professional sports, including stints with the University of Kentucky Athletic Association, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Bowling Green Hot Rods, the “high-A” affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays organization. Evan also has experience in capital development. Evan then went on to earn his J.D. from the Charleston School of Law. During law school, Evan gained valuable legal experience through private practice clerkships and corporate legal internships. He also participated in the South Carolina Judicial Observation Experience with the Honorable Jennifer B. McCoy.

Evan is dedicated, driven, and hard-working. He does not rest until he has achieved the best possible outcomes for his clients. Evan is experienced in all stages of litigation, including evaluation of a matter through discovery, motions practice, mediation, and trial.

In his free time, Evan is an avid college sports fan who loves cheering on his beloved Kentucky Wildcats. He also enjoys spending time with his dog, Weller; playing golf; reading; college football Saturdays with his friends; and experiencing the expansive culinary scene Charleston has to offer.
