Biography
Gina R. I. Horseman is a litigation attorney in the firm’s Charleston, South Carolina, office. She represents corporate, institutional, and individual clients in all aspects of civil litigation at both the state and federal level. Her experience includes handling matters dealing with business tort litigation, complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, and trademark infringement and protection.
Gina also has extensive experience managing complex e-discovery processes to ensure compliance and efficiency in large-scale litigation, including within the defense of colleges and universities in tuition refund class actions cases. Her ability to streamline the collection and processing of data and develop strategic discovery approaches has made her a valuable asset in complex legal matters.
Prior to joining Gallivan White & Boyd, Gina practiced at a boutique business litigation and insurance defense firm and also worked as a litigation associate at the Charleston office of an Am Law 100 firm.
Gina obtained her undergraduate degree from Stetson University, where she was an accomplished student-athlete, serving as captain on the Division 1 Women’s Volleyball team, and named a Presidential Scholar. She then earned her juris doctor from Florida State University College of Law, graduating with honors. While in law school, Gina served as Article and Notes Editor for the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy and participated in the summer study abroad program at the University of Oxford. Gina also clerked for the Chief Administrative Law Judge of the Southern District at the State of Florida Division of Administrative Hearings.
Committed to service beyond her practice, Gina was named to the South Carolina Supreme Court Pro Bono Honor Roll multiple times for her work representing clients in eviction proceedings and advocating for inmates before the South Carolina Board of Paroles and Pardons. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her husband and their four children.
