Jonathan R. Umbriano

Biography

Jonathan R. Umbriano is an associate in the firm’s Greenville, South Carolina, office. He focuses his practice on Tort and Personal Injury (TIPS) matters.

Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in History from the University of Rhode Island. Upon graduation, Jonathan owned and operated JRU Companies, a food distribution software company, operating throughout the United States and its territories.

Jonathan earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as the Technology Editor for the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal. During law school, he participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program and worked as a student associate for LexisNexis. Jonathan also gained valuable experience while clerking for several civil litigation law firms.

After graduating from law school, Jonathan clerked for The Honorable G.D. Morgan, Jr., and during his time clerking, he had the opportunity to observe and participate in many aspects of civil litigation.

In his free time, Jonathan enjoys running, reading, golfing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and dog.
